MK2 JDM STYLE BODYKIT BLOWS UP THE NET

If you even the slightest interest in MK2 Golfs you will surely have seen the pics of the fantastic new fender flares and one piece duckbill being produced by Rocket Bunny and soon to be available through our good friends over at Rotiform.

We know how hard it is to do anything remotely new or fresh to the Mk2 Golf but this has certainly got a lot of people excited!!

The 1 piece “duckbill” style front spoiler is a stroke of genius as owners of Mk2’s have often had to cut up and fit mk1 Duckbills to achieve this look, not anymore!!!!

We for one cannot wait to get our hands on one!!!!!

So with the new year upon us it was time to get our annual pilgrimage to Worthersee sorted.
For those who don’t know Worthersee is an idyllic and picturesque region of Austria that every year see’s the whole of the european VAG scene descend upon it.

We have a pretty cool line up of cars we are taking on the 2000 mile round trip and we will once again be joined by Brian from Rotiform who has something special up his sleeve for this year after doing the journey in his rather special 964 last year.

PLAYERS 68″ DATSUN510 TRUCK BEGINS ITS JOURNEY…..

So after picking up this 1968 510 truck from California late last year we are finally about to get this longterm project underway.

We are led to believe that there are literally a handful of these in the country so because of that……..we are going too SLAM it.

For that job we are enlisting  Matt the main man at BALLS’d to get our work truck on the floor. The truck is amazingly rot free and solid and we have a long term plan for this project, so keep an eye out for updates…

Rate or hate? Lamborghini Egoista

We don’t usually post supercar content here at Players, but we just had to make an exception for possibly the wildest Lamborghini ever created… and that’s saying something! It’s called the Egoista and according to Lamborghini it’s been styled by an Apache Helicopter (minus the wings). A 5.2-litre V10 delivers over 550bhp and there’s only space for the driver, but just look at that styling! Continue reading

Welcome to Players Show 2013

Now in its 7th year Players Show is held at North Weald Airfield, Essex. Taking place on in September this year’s Premium Automotive Event will be bigger and better than ever.

Players is the brainchild of Jamie ‘Jaymac’ McToldridge and Carl Taylor who have both been in the Car Culture scene for more years than either would care to admit. Jaymac wanted to deliver a quality event with a relaxed European vibe. In a short (and rare) interview Jay said, “I wanted to deliver a quality event with a relaxed European vibe.” Carl was looking to serve-up a show that offered cool prizes, a super-friendly ‘all cars welcome’ ethos and killer value. At the time of writing this box of words Carlos was unavailable for interview.
